Pharmacy Practice
Pharmacists, pharmaceutical technicians and pharmaceutical assistants have an important role in the provision of quality pharmaceutical services in their respective work place for the benefit of patients and the public at large. Pharmacy Council as regulator, works to insure standards of practice is adhered and continue to advocate on good pharmacy practice in pharmacies and other areas of practice both in public and private.
Pharmacy Education
Pharmacy Council is mandated to ensure that pharmacy education and training offered at any institution in Tanzania guarantees the necessary knowledge and skills needed for efficient pharmacy practice. It does so by establishing, developing, maintaining and controlling acceptable standards in pharmacy education and training.
Pharmacy Registration
Registration and licensing of pharmaceutical personnel and premises that stores and sell pharmaceuticals and medical devices is mandatory. The Recognition of personnel is explained under the Pharmacy (Registration, Enrollment and Enlisting of persons) Regulations, G.N No. 332 of 2005.
